David Lewis

Once a practising solicitor in Brisbane and Gold Coast, David was also a Sessional Member of Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) sitting mainly in the Wide Bay region.

In 2016 he was elected as a councillor on Fraser Coast Regional Council, serving for 8 years before retiring at the 2024 elections. He chaired a number of council committees, and was particularly involved in the Arts and Culture, and Environment sectors.

David was also director of the Bendigo Community Bank in Hervey Bay and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws and is an honorary member of the Queensland Law Society.

​

Now retired, David still does consultancy work and remains involved in community activities. His leisure interests are in writing, music and sailing.
