Petra Van Beek – Member

Petra is a highly credentialled human resources, organisational culture and change management leader. With more than three decades’ experience working for companies and not-for-profits of all sizes, both nationally and internationally, she brings together a drive to transform individuals and organisations with a passion for community.
Petra is currently a Director of Human Synergy Solutions, a specialist training organisation focusing on personal and organisational development.
Her previous roles have included People, Culture and Customer Service Manager at IMPACT Community Services, and a range of senior HR, learning and development, and change management roles with engineering, construction and project management firm Bechtel Corporation.
Petra’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Management (Human Resources) and a Graduate Diploma in Adult Education. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders (IML), and the current President of the Gympie Chamber of Commerce.
Petra is a big believer in partnership and team working for positive outcomes, and is eager to see productive collaborations lead to continued growth for the Gympie and Wide Bay Burnett regions.
