The Wide Bay Burnett region stretches 48,600sq km from the fertile soils of the inland Burnett to the picturesque shores of Bundaberg and the Fraser Coast, and down to historic Gympie.
The region encompasses the Bundaberg, Fraser Coast, Gympie, North Burnett, South Burnett and Cherbourg local government areas, including the major regional centres of Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Gympie.
With a vibrant tourism industry and growing retail and services sectors, the region’s economy continues to diversify and build on its traditional strengths of agriculture and manufacturing.
