Tanya Stevenson – Member

Tanya has more than 20 years’ experience in the community and not-for-profit sectors, with more than a decade spent at management and leadership level.
Currently the CEO of the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre, she has led the strategic expansion of the organisation with a view to increasing revenue streams, providing more services and creating more opportunities for disadvantaged people.
This has included the implementation of the Fraser Coast Community Social Plan and the development of the Neighbourhood Hive and Urangan Wellness Centre, as well as the centre’s first social enterprise, The Wandering Teapot.
Tanya holds a Bachelor of Psychology and a Master of Education, and has been recognised through multiple awards. These include Fraser Coast Young Businessperson of the Year (2012), University of Southern Queensland Young Alumni of the Year (2013) and Finalist in the Queensland Council of Social Service Frontline Hero award (2022).
She is a strong believer in partnerships, and is passionate about improving social outcomes for everyone through innovation and collaboration.
