Bree Watson – Member
Bree is an experienced leader in the agribusiness and not-for-profit sectors, with a strong track record in business development, financial management, industry partnerships and corporate governance.
Currently the CEO of peak farming body Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers, she liaises closely with industry to help growers increase their productivity and profitability and continue to expand the region’s agricultural base.
She also works with government representatives of all levels to advocate for agribusinesses in the region.
Bree holds positions with organisations and groups including the Queensland Horticulture Council, Regional Business HQ, Sunwater Irrigators Advisory Committee and the Coastal Burnett Groundwater Management Advisory Committee.
She also chairs Jobs Bundaberg, a Regional Jobs Committee whose aim is to support the growth and development of a strong, capable and skilled workforce in the region.
A strong believer in higher education and continual learning, Bree holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons), Bachelor of Environment Science, a Bachelor of Photography, and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
She is passionate about lifting the prosperity of the region’s agricultural industry across the entire supply chain, and ensuring advocacy reflects the industry’s real needs.
