Bill Trevor OAM – Chair
Bill has spent almost 40 years in public life, with a long career in local government and a strong track record of bringing councils and communities together for meaningful and sustainable benefit.
Bill was first elected to Isis Shire Council in 1985 and became Mayor in 1993, a position he held until amalgamation in 2008. After taking a break to concentrate on his family farming business, he returned to local government in 2016 as councillor and Deputy Mayor for the Bundaberg Region.
Bill was founding President of the Wide Bay Burnett Regional Organisation of Councils (WBBROC), Chair of the Wide Bay Burnett Area Consultative Committee (ACC) for 14 years, a former Director of the Isis Central Sugar Mill and former Member of the Bundaberg District Health Council. He came RDA Wide Bay Burnett Chair in 2014.
He has also held positions on numerous Local, State and Federal Government committees.
Bill is a big believer in building stronger regions and is passionate about community service – which has been formally recognised through his life membership of Apex Australia and the awarding of an Order of Australia medal.
